Born and raised in Aspen, Colorado, Jeff Griggs, Sa Bom Nim, is the owner and chief instructor of Rocky Mountain Martial Arts, Basalt. He has long served the Federation at both the regional and national level. He has been training in Soo Bahk Do since 1979.
Griggs Sa Bom Nim has previously served as the Regional Examiner for Region 8 and was appointed by the Chairman of the Technical Advisory Committee for this position. He has also served as a Board Representative for Region 8.
He was appointed by HC Hwang Kwan Jang Nim to serve on the Technical Advisory Committee – Weh Gung Bu from 2005-2017 and Ki Sul Bu from 2017 to present.
Griggs Sa Bom Nim has won numerous awards including national championships in Hyung and sparring. He teaches throughout the country including at the annual Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa which is held to test Sa (4th) Dan candidates and above for promotions.
